Pop and R&B superstar Prince made some noise last week [Friday, April 15th] when his private airliner made an emergency landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois, where the singer was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Prince had canceled two shows due to illness previously in the week while on his current “Piano and Microphone” tour.
Representatives told news outlets that the 57 year old entertainer had been battling the flu for weeks. He was reported as receiving some treatment but released after just a few hours.
Earlier in the day Prince had tweeted, “I am still floating on a cloud of purple intoxication after last night’s Piano & A Microphone show in Atlanta.”
Some may have speculated that the emergency was related to said “purple intoxication.”
