I started this website about events in music back in the mid-2000s. I have always been curious about songs and songwriters and interesting people on the periphery of the music business.

This site is not an attempt to be a “news” source although you will see some posts about people and events in the news.

I post the answers to my own questions, mostly. Like “who wrote this,” or “when did this happen.”

If you are a musician or music lover you may find some articles of interest to you here, and maybe even get the answer to a question of your own.

BTW: The “DA” in my name stands for “Daniel A,” my legal name, although I have always been called “Jack” or “Jackie.” (“Jack” is my mother’s maiden name.) There is a VERY famous pastor in California, Pastor Jack Hayford*, whom I have been confused with over the years. (In fact I have received messages on my phone from people asking me to pray for them. I do! Although I’m not sure how much help that is coming from me and not the Pastor. :)) Pastor Jack is also a successful songwriter, having published many songs of faith. Pastor Jack’s son, also known as Jack Hayford, is a songwriter as well and we have communicated over the years.

*Dr. Jack Hayford, founder and chancellor emeritus of The King’s University (TKU) and Seminary, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in his home in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. He was 88 years old. His family said he died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of the morning, having eaten dinner with his wife, Valarie, and having spoken to one of his grandkids the evening before. —JackHayford.org
