One of the biggest and most popular music events in the world is on again—
COACHELLA MUSIC and ARTS FESTIVAL APRIL 14-17 and APRIL 22-24!
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual event held in the desert at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, featuring dozens of performing artists over two days on multiple stages. Independent films and exhibits of contemporary art are also a big part of “Coachella.”
The music line-up at Coachella is typically alternative rock, rap/hip hop, and electronica.
Since its inception in 1999, annual attendence has steadily grown to over 100,000 music and art lovers.
Camping and reveling in the desert (the Mojave Desert is just north of Indio) is a big part of the Coachella experience. Daytime temperatures can hit 100°F or more. Be sure to pack your sun blocker as there is precious little cloud cover or shade. And take a blanket…the temperature will drop dramatically after sunset.
