Damaged Beyond All Repair

My neighbors were gettin’ their drink on and blasting their music and I was not even remotely annoyed… ’cause I was digging it. This is great. I know who this is…who is this?

I found out who it was by googling “damaged beyond all repair” (not the line exactly–I was thinking of FUBAR which is F’d Up Beyond All Recognition, an Army acronym–but I digress) and immediately finding this video:

Jelly Roll, of course. Save Me. Awesome.

At the same time I saw in the search results for “damaged beyond all repair,” this song:

Damaged Beyond Repair by Children of Bodom. Truly, give it a listen. Just a few seconds is OK but wait for the vocals. To share my perspective, listen to it.

And just as these videos were in my browser, on my TV I was hearing the news and seeing stories about Danelo Cavalcante, the escaped crab-walking murderer, holding hostage now an entire region (not a neighborhood)…should we call in the National Guard? OBTW he’s packing a .22 rifle.

I’m not making light of this situation either! It is our reality. This is SERIOUS. LIVE coverage! WTF?

The next news story was an interview with George Santos (this is funny), one of our Congressmen, one of our national leaders.

Have you seen this guy? Who would vote for him? He’s looking out for us? He is in our government!

And I’m thinking, “are WE damaged beyond all repair?”
